My martial arts journey started with Karate when I was 7 years old. My father was a black belt and of course took me with him. After that I came across chinese boxing and through my uncle Panantukan. In 2003/2004 I was able to train a few times in MCMAP (Marine Corps Martial Arts Programme) in San Diego through family members that were part of the US Navy. I was astonished by the simplicity and effectiveness so when I got back to Germany I was looking for something similar, so I started my Krav Maga journey. Since 2013 am I the International Military Krav Maga Director for Germany.
Personally I was never a big friend of movements that look great but have no practical value. So to me it was always important to use and learn techniques that are based on our instincts.
To develop myself, broaden my horizon and to give my students the best self defense/martial arts training available, it was just a logical step to become a member of the global defence lab team. Eat, sleep, shape shift, repeat!
